Diabetes and Podiatry

A lot of patients with diabetes tend to have circulatory problems. Their healing processes are also slower. Because of this the foot can be affected. Damage can be done to the foot without it being detected.

Foot ulcers are a common problem of the diabetic foot. Infection can also set in causing more problems. If you or a loved one are concerned about this, speak with your primary care physician who can introduce you to a Podiatrist in your area. Awareness is key!
